We Are By My Side (The Adopt-A-Family Network). Our Philosophy Is Simple-In Order For A Homeless Family To Succeed They Must Become Self-Sufficient. This Does Not Happen In A Vacuum. As Societal Influences And Attitudes Can Contribute To Creating Homelessness, So Can It Contribute To Supporting A Family In Their Struggle To Achieve Independence And Encourage Their Successes. We Feel The Best Way To Approach This Is To Create One Supportive, Personal Relationship At A Time That Allows People To Get To Know Each Other In A Way They Never Did Before, Sometimes Across Socioeconomic And Racial Barriers While Supplying Much Needed Minimal Financial Assistance.
