Founded In 1978 By A Group Of Concerned Neighborhood Residents, Near Westside Neighborhood Association (Nwna) Works Closely With Tenants, Landlords, Homeowners And Businesses To Stimulate Neighborhood Revitalization. Nwna Provides A Variety Of Housing Counseling Services, Landlord Education, Property Management Services, Special Needs Housing, And Housing Rehabilitation Grant/Loan Programs. Nwna Is Actively Involved In The Community Daily With Neighborhood Watch Programs, Clean-Up Projects, And Community Service Events. Nwna Is Also The Lead Agency In Elmira Promoting Historic Preservation Activity Through Workshops, Speakers, Historic Walking Tours, Built Environment Awareness Classes In The Local Schools, And Historic Preservation Projects.
