In 1979, Chelsea Residents, City Officials, And Representatives Of Local Lending Institutions Formed Chelsea Neighborhood Housing Services As A Community-Based Partnership Dedicated To Revitalizing Low-Income Neighborhoods Through Home-Repair Loans To Individual Homeowners. Today, Chelsea Nhs Is A Full-Service Community Development Corporation. In The Past Two Decades, We Provided Over 250 "Unbankable" Loans To Low- And Moderate-Income Homeowners. Today, We Have Our Own Loan Fund With Net Assets Of Almost $1 Million. We Renovated 127 Rental Units In 28 Buildings. Today, We Own And Manage 119 Rental Units For Low- And Moderate-Income Families And Manage 11,000 Square Feet Of Commercial Space.
