Double Rock Community Services Center Of Compton California, Inc., Founded In 1997, Was Developed After A Two-Story Structure Was Built By Dr. Joseph Holmes Called "The Joseph L. Holmes Pavilion". The Purpose Of The Organization Is To Use The Structure As A Much Needed Community Center On The West Side Of Compton, California. Currently, It Is The Only Community Center On That Side Of Town. Due To Gang Violence, Unemployment, Lack Of Quality Education, Lack Of Cultural Arts Opportunities Many Of The Youth In The Area Are Without Necessary Resources To Become Productive Citizens That Are Able To Contribute To Society And To The Economy. The Center's Goal And Mission Is To Provide The Necessary Resources And Services That Will Bridge The Gap Between Their Current Condition And A Successful And Self-Sufficient Future.
