About Crime Victims Fund

Since Its Inception In 1982, The Crime Victims Fund Has Operated Its Emergency Victim Assistance Program To Provide Relief For Low-Income People Who Are Victims Of Crimes Such As Robbery, Battery, Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Drunk Driving, Child Abuse, Elder Abuse, Homicide And Other Violent And Non-Violent Crimes. All Referrals Come To The Fund Through The San Diego District Attorney's Office, The San Diego Police Department And Other Law Enforcement Agencies. In 2000, The Crime Victims Fund Developed A Second Program, (Domestic Violence Independence) For Families Exiting Domestic Violence Transitional Housing Programs That Have Set Independence And Self-Sufficiency As Their Main Goals.
