Family Service Association Of Bucks County's Mission Is To Protect, Maintain, Strengthen, And Enhance Individuals And Families And Their Social And Psychological Functioning. Since Fsa First Opened In 1953, Bucks County's Rural Setting Has Been Replaced With A Mix Of Rural, Suburban, And Urban-Like Communities That Face New Problems Such As A Loss Of The Industrial Base, Higher Unemployment, An Increase In The Number Of Families Living In Poverty, And A Growing Mental Health And Substance Abuse Problem. Family Service Draws On Its Broad Experience To Develop Programs To Meet These Emerging Needs. Our Programs Are Linked To Every Major Human Service Sector In Bucks County: Children And Youth, Aging, Juvenile Probation, Economic Development, Housing, Health, Mental Health, Welfare, Education, And Drug And Alcohol Treatment. In All Of Its Work, Family Service's Goal Is The Same: To Create A Strong, Healthy Community Of Happy Individuals And Families.
