The Mission Of Latin United Community Housing Association Is To Stabilize The Puerto Rican Community And Other Residents Of West Town, Humboldt Park, And Logan Square By Providing Decent And Affordable Housing And Housing Services. The Stabilization Porcess Needs To Happen With The Essential Ingredient Of Resident Participation And Empowerment. Lucha Uses A Number Of Programs And Services To Guarantee That Stability. It Provides Technical Assistance, Develops Affordable Housing, And Advocates For Resources To Be Reinvested In The Community To Catalyze Community Development And Stability.
Mission Statement: LUCHA (the Spanish word for “struggle”) advances housing as a human right by empowering communities – particularly the Latino and Spanish-speaking populations – through advocacy, education, affordable housing development and comprehensive housing services.
