The Mission Of The Retired Boxers Foundation, Founded By Alex "The Bronx Bomber" Ramos In 1995 And Incorporated In 2000, Is To Assist Professional Boxers In The Transition From Their Glorious Days In The Ring To A Dignified Retirement. Professional Boxing Is The Only Sport That Does Not Provide Insurance Or Retirement Benefits For The Athletes And As A Consequence, Some End Their Careers Without Resources To Retire. The Rbf Provides Free Referrals For Medical And Rehabilitation Services, As Well As Housing, Job Training, And Financial Assistance.
